The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the terrorist bombing incident, which occurred yesterday morning, near a security center in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, by a car bomb, which led to the death of a number of innocent civilians and the wounding of others.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that the UAE expresses its strong condemnation of these criminal acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security and stability and is incompatible with religious and human values ​​and principles.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and families of the victims of this heinous crime and its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.

According to Somali officials, at least 100 people, many of them university students, were killed in the explosion, which occurred in an overcrowded area where traffic is usually jammed by the presence of a checkpoint and tax collection office, and the explosion left charred vehicle structures.

Witnesses said that the explosion was very strong, and the bodies were scattered at the scene of the accident and some were charred to the point that made it difficult to identify the owners. A Somali police official told Bloomberg News that Turkish engineers were the target of the car bomb explosion, while Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlod Cawushoglu said that two Turkish people were killed in the attack.
