The employment protection is extended

Employment protection is extended until the employee reaches the age of 68. Only then can the employer terminate the employee without requiring factual grounds through a simplified dismissal procedure. On January 1, 2023, the age limit will be raised to 69 years.

Lowering of share capital

The lowest permissible share capital in private limited companies is reduced from SEK 50,000 to SEK 25,000.

The protection tax is removed

The value-added tax, the extra tax of 5 percent deducted on income above SEK 59,000, will disappear from January 1, 2020.

Reduced tax on fuel

The carbon dioxide and energy tax on gasoline and diesel is lowered. The size of the tax cut corresponds to the indexation surcharge of two percentage points for 2020.

CRC

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child becomes Swedish law. Courts and authorities are given a greater obligation and an increased opportunity to put the child's rights in focus.

Improved basic protection for pensioners

Fundamental protection for the pensioners who have the worst financial position is improved. The improvement mainly benefits women, often the elderly and single people. Among other things, the guarantee pension is increased by SEK 200 per month for everyone with a guarantee pension. The housing cost ceiling in the housing supplement for pensioners is increased from SEK 5,600 to SEK 7,000 per month.
