Shortly after nine o'clock on Friday morning, the emergency services received an alert that a truck had driven into the center ridge on National Highway 40 at West Jara. The accident must have occurred in the west direction and caused queues at the site.

A while later, a passenger car should also have driven into the center rail. No person should have been injured in the accidents, but both the passenger car and the truck will need to be towed.

Further departures must have taken place in the area and according to the police there is a slippery road surface on the site.

Occasionally, the road westward has been closed to traffic.
