“At the first stage, it will be an entertainment and information channel that will combine the best entertainment programs of Ukrainian production and information broadcasting,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Maksymchuk emphasized that the main task of the Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is to draw the attention of the inhabitants of Donbass to the position of Kiev.

“Our task is to ensure that our citizens in the temporarily occupied territory hear and know an unbiased and honest position about what is happening in Ukraine,” he said.

According to him, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, is developing the concept of a “strategic package of messages” for Ukrainians living in these territories.

At the end of November, it became known about Kiev’s plans to launch in February 2020 a special television channel in uncontrolled territories.

In addition, in July, the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the need for a “world-wide Russian-language television channel” for “fighting for the minds of Ukrainians” in the Donbass and Crimea, as well as “for the minds of Russians in Russia.”
