Former minister, lieutenant of Brice Laccruche Alihanga, former director of cabinet of Ali Bongo, Justin Ndoundangoye is in prison. He is suspected of being involved in massive embezzlement and laundering of money. The justice system demanded the lifting of his parliamentary immunity and obtained it.

Thursday, December 26 in the National Assembly of Gabon, 113 deputies out of 142 voted in favor of the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of the deputy of the party in power, Justin Ndoundangoye . The latter left the hemicycle where his parliamentary immunity had just been lifted and addressed briefly to his supporters who came to support him: “ So far, there is nothing concrete. So I put myself at the disposal of justice. All I did was in front of you. There is nothing in hiding, there is no evidence, but that everything is transparent. "

The ex-powerful minister then rushed into his luxurious vehicle. But his convoy stopped dead in front of the Senate Palace, where gendarmes took him to the premises of the Directorate General of Research.

Justin Ndoundangoye is the latest victim of the hands-on operation called Scorpion, launched by the Gabonese courts following suspicions of embezzlement of public funds and money laundering. More than ten personalities who were in charge during the convalescence of President Ali Bongo are already in prison as part of this operation.
