The investigation into the case has been ongoing for almost a year, and over 200 hearings have been held. At the end of August, two men, a younger man and his uncle, were arrested for involvement in the murder. They are now being prosecuted for murder and serious weapons crime.

A few weeks after the two men were arrested, police also arrested the younger man's father for involvement in the murder. He was arrested a short time later. He, too, is being charged with serious weapons offense, for possession of the murder weapon.

The father and son are also prosecuted for crimes against the marital peace.

- I say that they have transported the body from the murder scene to Forsby where they have also lit fire on the body, says chamber prosecutor Anne Sjöblom.

Murder scene determined

During the course of the investigation, the police have been able to determine the murder scene - the young man's apartment in Märsta. There, the two men suspected of the murder must have killed the victim with two gun shots. Two other people were in the apartment, one of whom is a girlfriend of the younger man suspected of murder. She is being prosecuted for the protection of criminals.

- She has helped to try to hide the murder, says Anne Sjöblom.

The father of the younger man is also being prosecuted for the protection of criminals. So does a fifth person, who is familiar with all those involved.

What connection do they have with the victim?

- He was familiar with the people and childhood friend of the two older men.

Main negotiations start at Uppsala District Court on January 9 next year.
