The fisherman Janne about the encounter with the killer whales: "Almost devilish"

On December 22, when Janne Olofsson was out fishing sea lobsters outside Smögen, he had to attend an unusual meeting - with a flock of killer whales.

- They were four, five. When I first saw them, I thought it was a tumbler. Then I thought it might be a choice. But in the end, I saw that it was orca.

After 40 years at sea as a fisherman, Janne Olofsson has seen most of it. But never the killer whale close up.

- It was almost devilish, absolutely incredible. It was a little smaller, which I think was a kid, who was with and it was swimming and playing right next to the boat. So close that you could touch it, says Janne Olofsson.

This is not the first time that killer whales have been seen in water in Bohuslän. However, most meetings take place in the spring and summer when more boats are out on the lake. So to see killer whales during the winter is unusual.
