Burkina Faso hit again. A dozen Burkinabé soldiers were killed, during the night of Tuesday 25 to Wednesday 26 December, during an attack on a military detachment in Hallalé.

"A patrol from the Namssiguia military detachment was attacked during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday," said a security source.

"A dozen soldiers were killed in this ambush that took place in Hallalé", a town near Tongomael, in the province of Soum, the same region where the attack on Arbinda occurred on Tuesday morning. left 42 dead.

According to another security source, "the response of the elements (soldiers) made it possible to neutralize (kill) several terrorists".

Following the attack on Arbinda, the deadliest that the country of West Africa has recorded since the beginning of the jihadist violence five years ago, Burkina Faso follows a two-day national mourning, Wednesday and Thursday. Thirty-five civilians (including 31 women) and seven soldiers were killed, as well as "80 terrorists", according to the Burkinabé authorities
