It is slathered with pots and food is sent out and into the ovens. Soon, the nation of Uppland will open its doors to the public. They also kept open during Christmas Eve, and then the dining room was not empty immediately.

- We had 888 visitors quite accurately, yesterday during Christmas Eve. We expect a few fewer today, as it usually is during Christmas Day, says Michal Brehmer, Christmas host at Uppland nation, who otherwise studies on the history program.

He also worked last year, and thinks it's a great way to celebrate Christmas. Jonathan Gustafsson, who chops carrots a workbench away, agrees.

- Yesterday I celebrated with the family, today I am here. It will be the fourth year for me, so this is a bit of my own Christmas tradition, says Jonathan Gustafsson.
