The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, said that the crisis with Qatar is witnessing half a step forward, and two back.

Gargash wrote in a tweet on his Twitter account: “A foreign guest asked me about the developments of the Qatar crisis, and I replied: Half a step forward and two steps back. "The problem is that Qatar's worst enemy is Qatar."

Gargash had emphasized, in previous tweets, that Doha's repeated attempts to split the ranks were aimed at evading its obligations.

He explained that «the recent Qatari leaks, regarding the resolution of the Doha crisis with the sister Saudi Arabia without the three countries, a repeat of Doha’s endeavor to split the ranks and evade the obligations».

He pointed out that "Riyadh leads a broad front of its brothers in this file, and other regional files, and its commitment to the demands and allies is essential and solid."

Gargash also stressed that the basis for solving the Qatar crisis with the four countries: (the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt), is to address the roots that caused them to occur, pointing out that the absence of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, from the summit of the Arab Gulf states hosted by Riyadh, is due "Misjudgment of the situation."
