As clarifies Interfax, the law provides for the inclusion in the federal list of two rare diseases - aplastic anemia, unspecified and hereditary deficiency of factors II (fibrinogen), VII (labile), X (Stuart-Prauer).

According to 2019, 1,518 Russians, including 255 children, suffer from these diseases.

According to the new law, about 2 billion rubles will be allocated annually from the federal budget for centralized procurement of medicines for this category of citizens.

Prior to this, drugs were purchased by regional health actors.

The draft law was submitted to the State Duma at the end of November.

According to the authors of the initiative, the law will also reduce the financial burden of providing medicines to citizens suffering from rare diseases from the regions.
