He noted that the launch of trains on the bridge to the Crimea is a historical event, since the railway connected the Crimea with mainland Russia for 145 years.
According to Aksyonov, the Crimean direction is one of the most popular, and the railway will give a new impetus to the development of the peninsula.
On Monday, December 23, the opening ceremony of the railway part of the Crimean bridge took place.
Russian President Vladimir Putin traveled by train through the Kerch Strait, noting the softness of the ride and the high speed of the train.
