“We note with concern and distrust statements by representatives of the Russian authorities, including President Vladimir Putin, regarding the outbreak and course of World War II, which represent a false picture of events,” the agency’s website said in a statement.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Shimon Shinkovsky Vel Senk said that Warsaw is analyzing the statements of Russian leader Vladimir Putin about the initial period of World War II. According to him, the Foreign Ministry is exploring the possibility of a diplomatic reaction.

Putin during a major press conference said that Soviet troops entered Poland “after the Polish government lost control of its armed forces and what is happening on the territory of the country.”
