According to the minister, the topic of relations with China was touched upon during his visit to Washington, where Lavrov met with US President Donald Trump.
“We will not worsen our relations with China just so that the Americans are happy,” the TASS Foreign Minister quotes.
At the same time, the Minister emphasized that the idea of achieving goals through positive, and not through sanctions and ultimatums, deserves recognition.
Earlier, Lavrov said that Trump sent a letter in which he stated his readiness to continue the dialogue on problems in bilateral relations between Russia and the United States.
