The funeral of actress and singer Anna Karina, icon of the New Wave, who died at 79 on December 14, was celebrated Saturday in Paris, AFP journalists found.

Actors and singers surrounded the husband of actress Dennis Berry, among others Charles Berling, Jane Birkin, Myriam Boyer, Clovis Cornillac, Marion Cotillard, Irène Jacob, Macha Méril, Léa Seydoux or Philippe Katerine, who had recorded with Anna Karina , as well as the Minister of Culture Franck Riester.

Reserved for family and close friends, the ceremony took place in the Chapelle de l'Est, within the grounds of the Père Lachaise cemetery.

Known in particular for her roles in the films of Jean-Luc Godard of which she was the companion in the 60s, Anna Karina, also had a career as a singer, notably alongside Serge Gainsbourg.

In the memory of moviegoers, the actress will remain this libertarian ingenuous who nonchalantly declaimed "What can I do? I don't know what to do ...", cult replica of "Pierrot le fou" (1965 ).
