The downhill race for the Val d'Isère Ladies' Alpine Skiing World Cup, scheduled to take place on Saturday, was canceled due to poor weather conditions, the organizers said.

The start of the descent, initially scheduled for 10:30 a.m., was initially postponed to 11:00 a.m. and then to 12:30 p.m., but the snow that has accumulated on the Oreiller-Killy track since the day before was due to the race, canceled in end of the mornng.

The weather will not have spared the Savoyard station: the giant men planned last week had already been canceled because of the wind. And the forecast for Sunday, combined day, is bad: snowfall from 40 to 60 cm is expected.

On the other side of the Alps, in Val Gardena (Italy), the men's downhill scheduled for Saturday was also canceled due to the fog.
