• The case: a secret relationship that ended in harassment and murder
  • To prison: imprisonment for the detainee for the last macho murder of Vigo
  • The fact: Investigate the violent death of a 25-year-old girl in the portal of her building in Vigo

César Adrio Otero murdered his former partner and co-worker, Ana Enjamio , in the portal of his house after the Christmas dinner of the company they had both attended. He stabbed him more than 30 stabs as a climax to months of "control and harassment" after a break he did not accept.

This has been unanimously concluded by the popular jury that during the last two weeks judged César Adrio and this Friday has convicted him of the crimes of murder with alevosía and cruelty, harassment and violation of privacy.

The jury reached this unanimous verdict after a day and a half of deliberations in the Fifth Section of the Provincial Court of Pontevedra , based in Vigo , and now it will be the president of the court who must decide what sentence he imposes for the cruel crime. After reading the verdict, the defense requested that the judge impose the penalties to a minimum, but the Prosecutor's Office and the popular and private accusations request sentences of up to 32 years in jail.

The verdict of the jury was unanimous in all its decisions except in one, to declare that it is a gender crime. Six of the nine jurors have not seen that in the acts of César Adrio there is an aggravating circumstance of gender, so that by majority it has been declared as unproven that the defendant caused the death of Ana Enjamio with the desire to make clear his feeling of superiority over her, because she was a woman.

The rest of the decisions were unanimous and the jurors did consider the aggravating circumstance of kinship proven by the relationship that had existed between César and Ana, which "represents a plus of guilt in the conduct" of the accused. Both had lived together for half a year before the relationship ended.

"Tackled Surprisingly"

The events for which César Adrio has been convicted occurred three years ago, at dawn on December 17, 2016, in the center of Vigo. The defendant and the victim had met in 2015, when the girl began working at a company in the Pontevedra town of Porriño where he had already worked for years.

Between December of that year and January 2016, they began a romantic relationship that they kept hidden from their surroundings and during which they lived together in a Vigo home for months. The coexistence ceased in 2016 and the jury considered it proven that "César did not accept this break", starting thereafter, and in the following months, "harassment and control behavior" over Ana, whom she was persecuting "to know her behavior "and" insisting that I return with him ". Because of this attitude, they consider him guilty of a crime of harassment .

In addition, the jurors also considered proven that during a trip they had made together to Portugal the defendant seized Ana's mobile phone to know the communications she had with her former partner and images of her intimate life and also that she used it to send the other boy a picture of him with the girl in the same bed, both naked from the waist up. For these facts, the jury considers that he is guilty of the crime of violation of privacy .

The third crime, murder , was committed by César, according to the popular court, after finishing the company's Christmas dinner. About five o'clock in the morning of December 17, she went home in the company of some co-workers, who left her in the vicinity of the portal of her house. In this portal "she was approached in a surprising way by César", who kept insisting on her intentions even though she asked him to leave.

During that encounter, he took out a knife or white weapon that never appeared and attacked it, repeatedly stabbing it in the neck and body, causing multiple wounds, of which 28 were sharp. Twelve reached the heart, six went through it and the woman died of hypovolemic shock .
