The FATF praised the fight against the illegal income of officials in Russia

As noted, experts recommend Russia to expand the list of assets that may be confiscated as income derived from illicit enrichment.

It is also recommended to expand the categories of persons whose income may be confiscated if they are obtained from an illegal source.

In mid-November, the Constitutional Court allowed the seizure of property that was acquired for incomes, the legitimacy of which was not confirmed by any persons, and not just officials and members of their families, in favor of the state.
