"Rosprirodnadzor, in agreement with the Russian government, refused to issue a certificate for the export of six live walrus individuals," RIA Novosti reports Rosprirodnadzor.

It is noted that walrus fishing was legal, but they can be used for cultural and educational purposes only in Russia.

Earlier, the Vladivostok environmental prosecutor’s office talked about the situation with walruses from the “whale prison” in Primorye. According to the agency, the Aquatoria-owned sea animals were transported by plane to another region.

It is noted that walrus owners were waiting for permission to export animals from Russia to China.
