It is about building trust and good cooperation between all parties to achieve good moose management. This is the opinion of Sabrina Dressel, whose dissertation is part of a larger project aimed at improving wildlife management.

The conflict situation between landowner and hunter thinks she has improved a lot in recent years due to the parties communicating with each other.

- I would say that the conflict situation has improved since 2012 when the new system was introduced. Now you create collaboration in different administrative areas and you have a structure where you create consultation and dialogue between different interests, says Sabina Dressel, PhD student at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SLU at the Department of Wildlife, Fish and Environment.

Introduced in 2012

The new system she refers to is the so-called adaptive and ecosystem-based moose management model that was introduced in 2012.

Its emphasis is on the ability to adapt as wildlife populations, land use and climate change and create new challenges for wildlife management.

In the clip above you can hear Sabrina Dressel develop what you have done specifically in the places where you succeeded.
