Al-Jazeera correspondent in Syria reported that a civilian was killed and others wounded in a missile strike by regime forces on the city of Maarat al-Numan in the southern Idlib countryside, while the Syrian Response Coordinators Organization said that about 110,000 civilians were displaced from Idlib countryside towards the border with Turkey.

The reporter added that other wounded people were killed when the regime fighters targeted vehicles carrying displaced people on the international road between Idlib and Hama.

Regime fighters and Russia also launched raids on the towns of Tlemans, Ma`shourin, and al-Ghadfa in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, which resulted in significant damage to property.

For its part, sources in the Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets) told Anatolia, that the bombing in Maarat al-Numan resulted in the killing of two civilians, as well as the injury of a large number of them.

She added that the regime's attacks continue on areas of de-escalation, amid fears of a high number of casualties.

Systematic attack
The Syrian regime launches systematic ground and air attacks against residential areas located on both sides of the M4 highway that links Aleppo to Damascus and M5, which links Aleppo to the city of Latakia.

More than 1,300 civilians have been killed by regime and Russian attacks in the de-escalation zone, since September 17, 2018.

The attacks also resulted in the displacement of more than a million civilians to relatively quiet areas or close to the Turkish border.

In a related development, the Syrian Response Coordinators Organization said that about 110 thousand civilians were displaced from Idlib countryside towards the borders with Turkey, as a result of the continuous military campaign of the regime forces and Russia on and around Idlib governorate since last November.

The organization added in a report that about 12,000 civilians have been displaced during the past 24 hours, and the organization indicated that most of the displaced people are still on the roads and in the open without shelter, and also called on the international community to put pressure on the regime and Russia to stop the military campaign in Idlib, and to secure the necessary needs of the displaced.
