In Russia, almost 60 thousand war munitions were neutralized in a year

It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the ministry.

“In 2019, the pyrotechnic units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations neutralized about 60 thousand explosive items from the time of the war, including more than 5 thousand air bombs,” the source said.

It is clarified that last year this figure amounted to approximately 100 thousand ammunition.

According to the agency, this year the main mine clearance work was carried out in the Kaliningrad region, in the Crimea, as well as in South Ossetia.

In September, Nevsky Novosti reported that 210 grenades and cartridges of the Great Patriotic War were eliminated in Kaliningrad.
