Abu Dhabi Police, during a press conference yesterday, launched the early payment initiative for traffic violations, which will be applied starting next Sunday, according to which the traffic violations and the vehicle reservation allowance will be reduced, as well as a delay penalty (if any of them) by 35%, in case of payment Within 60 days of the date of the violation.
She stated that in the event of payment after the lapse of 60 days from the date of the traffic violation, and before one year has passed since the commission of the traffic violation, the driver will receive a 25% reduction of its value, provided that the reduction does not include the value of the vehicle reservation allowance and the delay fine (if any), indicating that in If the payment is made one year after the violation is committed, the driver will not receive any discount.
She explained that the reduction applies to all violations, with the exception of those listed in the schedule of serious violations, adding that the reduction does not include what is also governed or taken by the traffic courts and their offices.

The Director of the Central Operations Sector at the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, emphasized that the initiative aims to delight customers by reducing the burdens on them, helping them to renew their vehicle licenses, and reducing the accumulation of violations committed during the previous period, as well as to reduce the commission of violations Traffic that may affect road safety.
And he considered that the initiative motivates people to pay their violations, and it also motivates them to take care and not to commit other violations, in order to achieve the highest levels of security and safety on the roads.
Al-Khaili said: “Signing the violation in the law is intended to inflict pain on the person who committed the violation, and therefore immediate payment is more painful for him, which leads him to the constant concern not to repeat the violations and driving with caution.
