The Paris Bourse marked a break Tuesday mid-session (-0.27%), the business community worried about the pressure exerted by Boris Johnson to put in place in a time considered very short the new reports of the Kingdom - United with the European Union.

At 13:38 (12:38 GMT), the CAC 40 index lost 16.2 points to 5,975.40 points in a trading volume of 1.68 billion euros. On Monday, it had finished at an unprecedented level since July 23, 2007 at 5,991.66 points (+ 1.23%).

The Parisian coast opened to balance before contracting.

For its part, Wall Street was preparing to open without a clear trend. The futures contract on the Dow Jones Industrial Average index yielded 0.12%, that on the broad S&P 500 index 0.04% and that on the Nasdaq, with a strong technological coloring, was perfectly stable.

"Part of the optimism linked to the trade agreement between China and the United States has started to evaporate and the possibility that the United Kingdom may leave the European Union without an agreement next year annoyingly resumes surface, "said Jasper Lawler, analyst for London Capital Group.

"Boris Johnson has rekindled fears of a" hard Brexit "by wanting to prevent any extension of the Brexit transition period beyond 2020," explains Franklin Pichard, managing director at Kiplink Finance.

The British Prime Minister hopes that at the end of 2020, that is to say, at the end of the transitional period as laid down in the British exit agreement from the EU, the terms of the new relations between London and the Continent are in place.

"Such a resolution seems impossible since most observers recognize that a free trade agreement will require several years. He therefore intends to exert strong pressure on the European leaders in order to conclude the negotiations as quickly as possible", continues Mr. Pichard.

In terms of economics, US industrial production for November and statistics on real estate across the Atlantic are expected.
