17 December 2019The solution to the crisis in Libya "cannot be military": Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said this in meeting with the Libyan presidential council's vice president, Ahmed Maitig, in Tripoli after a bilateral meeting with the Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Siala.

The Foreign Minister's mission to Libya began this morning when the Foreign Ministry head landed this in Tripoli, to meet with President of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Serraj, Vice-President Ahmed Maitig, Foreign Minister Mohammed Taher Syala and the Minister of Interior Fatih Bashaga. Then stop in Benghazi to meet General Khalifa Haftar.

Haftar air raids south of Tripoli
