Briton Anthony Joshua proposed to compatriot Tyson Fury to be his sparring partner on Wednesday before his expected fight in mid-February against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder of the United States.

"If Tyson (Fury) needs me, I'm ready to challenge him to prepare him for his fight against Wilder," said Joshua, 30, on UK Sky Sports News television.

"I honestly think he can beat Wilder next time," he said.

Fury must face the "Bronze Bomber" next February 22 for a second fight, after a draw between the two boxers in December 2018.

Anthony Joshua (23 fights, 21 wins by knockout, 1 defeat), who recovered in early December his IBF, WBA and WBO world belts from the heavyweights against the American Andy Ruiz, hopes to be able to fight Wilder, holder of the WBC belt , the only one missing from the Brit to become the first heavyweight world champion to unify all titles since Lennox Lewis (1992-1994, 1997-2001 and 2001-2004).

"I have four belts today, including the IBO. I need one more (Wilder's)," Joshua said on Sky Sports News.

"I still don't understand why it's so difficult to organize this fight). He's the guy I have to beat (...) to conquer the whole category," he continued.
