The Sharjah Criminal Court has examined the case of an Arab youth accused of stealing more than one shop with the help of a number of people, and managed to steal one million dirhams from the treasury of a store in Sharjah, and was monitored by surveillance cameras.

The details of the case are attributed to Sharjah Police receiving more than one report stealing the clothes and furniture stores being stolen in one way and method. Among the reports was the theft of one million dirhams from the treasury of one of the stores. In a stolen shop, he was caught, and on investigation, he confessed to carrying out several thefts with the help of a number of people who fled outside the country after these crimes were committed.

The court heard a witness working for the Sharjah Police, who confirmed that, based on several reports of separate locations being stolen, the accused was reached after the shop was stolen through the surveillance cameras that showed him clearly.

He added that the defendant managed, along with a number of fleeing persons, to steal a treasury inside the amount of one million dirhams after it was broken.

The court confronted the accused with the charges against him, and with the statements of the witness, and he maintained his denial of the charges and not committing thefts.

The Public Prosecution requested the conviction of the accused, while the court decided to postpone the case to the next January 13 session of the court in the case.
