The sensors should collect data in the form of humidity and temperature in the roadways. The project will last during the winter and will be evaluated in the summer.

- The data we get through the sensors is very valuable to us. It gives us the opportunity to put our resources where they are needed most, ”says Reimer Selero, project manager of the Technical Office in a press release.

It is with the help of sensors that signals are sent from the sensors to a computer system which then collects the information. And the test project is expected to be a good complement to the Swedish Transport Administration's weather stations, which are the basis for emergency preparedness leaders when it comes to prioritizing anti-slip measures in the municipality.

- We look forward with anticipation to the results of the test project and hope that we have found a future solution, says Reimer Selero.
