“The ships of the Baltic Fleet and Indian Navy at the Indra-2019 exercises worked out practical actions at sea,” Martov said.

He noted that a Russian-Indian squad of ships was formed as part of the marine phase of the exercises, it included the Yaroslav the Wise patrol ship, the Yelnya tanker, the Viktor Konetskiy sea tug, the Tarkash frigate and the Aditya tanker.

The detachment conducted training on organizing communications, joint tactical maneuvering and passing narrownesses. A joint training on the organization of air defense was also held.

Earlier it was reported that the ships of the Baltic Fleet will conduct exercises in the Indian Ocean.

The marine part of the exercises will last from December 16 to 19.
