Since October 18, ten investigators have been working on the investigation into the shooting, where a 13-year-old boy was shot in the center of Öxnehaga. After 110 interrogations and processing of a variety of technical material, the police have decided to close the preliminary investigation.
- We have done everything we can. Followed all the tracks, even the ones we did not believe in, but we will no longer come right now, says Crime Commissioner Mats Antonsson, preliminary investigative officer at the Jönköping Police.
"Difficult to solve"In connection with the shootings, where the young boy was found shot dead, large parts of the center of Öxnehaga were blocked off and the police immediately began to obtain interrogation and technical evidence. But now you will no longer come.
Antonsson states that the 13-year-old boy has not been able to tell much because the process was very fast.
- It all went in a few seconds, it was dark and not many people were out at the time. We have cleared all tracks and have nothing to go on, says Antonsson. This type of crime is very difficult if we cannot take someone on a criminal offense.
May open againAntonsson thinks that even if you do not come anymore right now, the preliminary investigation can be opened at any time.
- We really want to solve this kind of crime and it feels awful that we have not reached all the way forward, but if we get new information then it is just a push of a button, then we are going again.
