Sold at auction in America .. Baseball bat with 1.8 million dollars


Officials of the "SCB" auctions specialized in selling important sports souvenirs announced on Sunday the sale of the racket used by former American baseball player Pep Roth for one million and 800 thousand dollars after he gave him in the 1940s to a friend, without revealing an identity Purchaser.

Roth is famous for his strong strikes, and he recorded the racket that was sold in public auction hit by the five hundred in 1929, and dubbed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of the violent strikes."

The American player ranked the best baseball player ever in many categories and polls, and was chosen by The Sporting News magazine to top the list of the 100 greatest baseball players.

Roth was born on February 6, 1895, died on August 16, 1948, set several records during his career, and began his career with the Major Baseball League in Boston Red Fox Karami, then sold in 1919 to the New York Yankees, Before retiring in 1935, after spending a short period on the Boston Braves team.
