“We turned to the regional prosecutor’s office to check the actions of the guardianship authorities, including the validity of the transfer of the child’s mother,” said Kuznetsova.
In the near future, she will check the educational institution in which the boy is studying, communicate with him and with the teachers. A meeting with her mother is also planned.
As noted in the press service, this will allow to draw conclusions for further decisions.
“We will not let this situation go until it is completely resolved, until we are convinced that the child is safe and all actions are in his interests,” the Ombudsman emphasized.
According to her, after discharge from the hospital at the request of the guardianship authorities, the boy was placed in a social rehabilitation center, but then returned to his mother.
Criminal proceedings were instituted against the woman under the articles “Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor”, “Deliberate infliction of moderate severity of harm to health” and “Torture”. A lawsuit was filed against the stepfather under the article “Torture”.
