The message on the SBU website says that intelligence officers received information that an attack was being prepared on the deputy related to his state and public activities.

It was also found that the executors of the “order” received an agreed cash reward from the organizer.

They added to the SBU that "the actions of the persons involved in the offense were taken under control," thanks to which the attack on the deputy was prevented.

“In order to obtain the most objective and complete evidence base about all the participants in the assassination attempt, especially about the organizer, it was decided to post on the social network the message of the“ ordered ”MP about the attack on him of two young people in balaclavas,” the SBU said .

The Ukrainian intelligence service added that this allowed the SBU "to fully document the actions of the organizer and performers." The issue of presenting suspicion to the organizer of the crime is currently being resolved.

Earlier, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mikhail Ananchenko wrote on Facebook that unknown persons in balaclava attacked him in Sumy.
