The spokeswoman for Citizens in the Congress of Deputies, designated by all as the future leader of the party, insists on the path of the 221 deputies of the PSOE, the PP and Citizens to get a constitutionalist Government. Meanwhile, talk to everyone and think of a new organization that revives liberal formation after its worst debacle.

This Monday he meets Pedro Sánchez to talk about the investiture. What will you propose? I am going to propose the stable, moderate and constitutional path of the 221 seats of the PP, Cs and the PSOE. A way that gives stability to Spain, removes power from populists and nationalists and is what most Spaniards want. He is going to ask for his vote not to depend on ERC. No one has voted for me to make Pablo vice president Churches Sanchez knows perfectly well, because he said it, that that government would not let 95% of the Spanish people sleep. Will he require him to break his negotiations with ERC? What I propose involves breaking with ERC, taking out populism from the Government and that the Executive does not depend on a soup of letters. We can and the PSOE add 155 seats. They are missing 21 for most. In addition to ERC, they need the PNV, Más País, Compromís, Coalición Canaria. A soup of populist and nationalist letters that will try to cut each slice of Congress. That is not moderate or stable. I propose moderation and state agreements between constitutionalists. You offer 221 seats, but 89 are from the PP, and Pablo Casado has said that under no circumstances will he facilitate the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. Isn't that an impossible offer? If Sanchez takes the first step, takes Podemos and breaks up with Esquerra, the PP will have no choice but to sit down, without a doubt. Has anyone from the PP's address admitted it? I have heard publicly, people from the PP leadership say they want even a coalition government. With 221 seats we would have a majority to approve State agreements. To make, for example, a change in the Electoral Law so that the parties have to have 3% or 4% of the votes to get representation in Congress. That change can guarantee us a much better future for Spain, because the nationalists would not enter the Chamber. If Sanchez opens up to that, the PP will have to sit down and talk. The 221 route represents the majority of the voters of the PP better than what Casado defends. The president of the PP is almost encouraging Vice President to Iglesias and that does not want any voter of the PP, but quite the opposite. Do you think Casado wants a Government of Sanchez with Podemos and supported by the independence to strengthen as an alternative? no doubt that that does not suit Spain. That is the important thing. Casado is concerned that the opposition will be exercised by extremes and I am concerned that extremes will be in the Government. I would like Casado not to give excuses to Sanchez to rule with Podemos and the independentists. But the main responsible is Sánchez. There is no one else responsible for this drift. The question is: Is Sanchez going to rectify? It seems not. Do you have hopes that it changes? I don't know if by conviction or necessity. I don't trust Sanchez's convictions, but I do need it. If the Frankenstein and insomnia path does not come out, he will be forced to look at the constitutionalists. And if he does, we will be there and the PP will have to sit down. Until now he has not tried. That he has not had in all these weeks time to call neither Pablo Casado nor me and that his party has already met four , five or six times with ERC is an insult to the Spaniards. What are the chances that there will be a constitutional pact? There may be if the negotiation with ERC fails or if from within the PSOE they manage to pressure Sánchez for it. I know that many in the Socialist Party are scared of what is happening. Sanchez can make history for the worse, becoming the first president with a vice president who denies that Spain is a nation and who claims that there are political prisoners, or can make history by making a constitutionalist agreement in Spain for the first time. Citizens will only vote yes in the investiture if the PP also does it? The important thing is that there are state agreements that give stability. We cannot think only of the endowment. My vote will be linked to a clear majority agreement. It says that Citizens are proposing what most Spaniards want. Was it a mistake not to do it in April or May and wait five months to do it, until September? When we proposed there was plenty of time. Let's see now if Sanchez opens the door to constitutionalism. If he does not, it will be shown that Albert Rivera was right and Sanchez had a plan to govern with the nationalists and populists. Is it possible to redirect ERC to an agreement that is within the Constitution? ERC was born to gain independence from Catalonia and everything he does will have that end. The PP and the PSOE have never understood that nationalism thinks in the long term and they in the very short term, in an investiture or in budgets. Esquerra is interested in being allowed to indoctrinate children in schools, that they allow him to manipulate from the media, that they continue to let him open embassies. And now it will be better, because there will be a vice president who says that Catalonia is a nation or that an independence referendum must be made. ERC wants this Government to continue letting it lay the groundwork for independence in the medium or long term. The negotiation with ERC is tending the PSOE. Can the barons stop their secretary general? The barons should do more than declarations if they really fear this government. What should they do? I suppose they will have internal mechanisms to prevent it. That they act, they can do it beyond the statements, because we play a lot. And let them say if they approve the constitutional path. The president of Aragon, Javier Lambán, has called Miquel Iceta "supremacist." Does it match with him? The PSC is a party sometimes indistinguishable from the nationalists. Support linguistic immersion, says there are Spanish first and second. Iceta even told me that we were just as radical as the CDRs. I no longer know if the PSOE is still a worker and Spanish or if it is only the PS of Pedro Sánchez. If he is still a worker and Spanish, he will have to react. Where are the criteria of equality, solidarity and union that socialism has always defended? We don't see them anywhere. The PSOE has sanchized . If there were early elections in Catalonia, can Citizens sink as it already happened in that community on November 10. Citizens are very strong in Catalonia and it is still the reference party of constitutionalism, there is no doubt about that. In Catalan regionals, Citizens are always stronger than in general. And more seeing the PSC of Iceta, who is willing to agree with ERC. It is not the same as the candidate is you or Lorena Roldán. Lorena is very good, although it happens a little what happened to me when Albert Rivera left. We are the voice of constitutionalism in Catalonia, because no one else defends it. What did they do wrong for Citizens to sink from 47 seats to 10? If you have a bad result, you are wrong. We have already talked about the reasons. But that we find little 10 seats and 1.6 million liberal votes in Spain is good news. 10 years ago Spain did not have a liberal and center party. That space will grow. If at a very bad time we have won 10 seats, that means that the center is consolidated. If I had to highlight the main error of Citizens, what would it be? I don't know what the main error was. The important thing is to get up and we have the opportunity to start a new stage. He said that one of the main mistakes of Citizens was communication. Didn't they explain their veto to the PSOE or the change of position well? We probably do not explain well the September unlocking solution and disorient our voters. It was necessary to raise it and try to avoid an electoral repetition, but we may not explain it well. Now we carry the constitutionalist initiative. That is the important thing. Did Citizens turn right? No. Our positioning was always the same. What happens in Spain is that we have a problem because the Social Democratic Party has thrown itself into the bush and it has been much easier to agree with the PP. In Europe, we have just reached an agreement between liberals, conservatives and social democrats to isolate nationalism and populism. In Spain, when we try to agree with the PSOE, we find it by agreeing with Esquerra or with Junts per Cat in the Diputación de Barcelona. It has been postulated to lead Citizens, what is your proposal? Citizens is a liberal, center, regenerative, Europeanist and necessary party for Spain to make reforms and to stop the feet of nationalism and populism. In addition, it is a government party. We have to reinforce and recover the voter who abstained or went to other options, but who can trust Citizens again. Citizens suffered a flight of votes to the right and a million voters decided not to vote in November. Why? Did you feel let down? The moderate voter always abstains and becomes more demobilized. In addition to that, an electoral repetition is not the ideal scenario, because moderate people are tired, angry and do not vote. Surely we did not know how to excite and take people out to the street. I want to value everything positive that our country has, because we have overcome great difficulties. We must return to trust in Spain and make a pact between those who do believe in Spain to isolate populists and nationalists. He has said he would like to make "structural changes" in Citizens. What will they consist of? My priority is what happens to the Government of Spain, much more than the structure of the party. That Sanchez consumes this infamy. In the future, changes will have to be made so that Citizens take off and be a useful tool. If there are elections in Catalonia, could Citizens go on a list with the PP? Think about the best option for constitutionalism and for Spain. But right now, my obsession is to avoid a Government with Podemos, because that will affect the future of Catalonia. ERC, the PSC and Podemos are preparing a tripartite for Catalonia. That is why my obsession is not to have a vice president who says for the world that a referendum must be held in Catalonia. The PP insists with Spain Suma, why do you reject it? We are trying to join Spain between the PP, the PSOE and Citizens, we have 221 seats, the best sum for Spain. Does the PP try to absorb Citizens? Try to divert attention from our proposal. You have to join Spain to avoid a government with Podemos that depends on ERC. Do you think you try? I don't know. Now we have to collaborate, stop party strategies and think about the Spaniards.

"United despite the bad result"

Do you have your future team in mind? Who will be your number two? I'm talking to a lot of people, I want to make a consensus project and I feel supported by militancy. In Citizens there is a lot of equipment to choose from, people who want to participate and help. In addition, I see the party very close, and it is surprising after such a bad result. Will it meet the critics to make the Executive? Who does it refer to? For example, Luis Garicano. Garcia is in the manager and is the spokesperson for Europe. But I still have not made the Executive team. Can Toni Roldán return to the address? Toni has already said he will not return. This party has to think about the future and have a team that works from the organization to lift it again. Many people are telling me that the result has been too unfair.
