The system's mechanisms include the establishment of a system for reporting abuse at the state level, which will be ready within three years, and the establishment of a unified database to link institutions and bodies related to family protection at the state level, in addition to establishing a family protection center.

The Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Issa Bouhamid, said during a press briefing yesterday, in which she dealt with the details of the family protection policy, that "the importance of the policy is that it aims to protect five important groups, including the children of one of the spouses from another legal or legal marriage," stressing that protection includes protection These categories are all forms of violence that include physical, verbal, moral and sexual violence, as well as economic exploitation and social abuse. The Minister enumerated the target groups for protection from violence and abuse, and said that it includes the spouses, the father, the mother of either of them and the grandchildren, the brothers and sisters of either spouse, the person covered by the custody of an alternative family, and the relatives up to the fourth degree, in addition to the children of one of the spouses from another legal or legal marriage.

Bouhamid confirmed that there will be clear criteria, enabling the body concerned to weigh the scale of the abuse and verify the authenticity of the complaint that may be registered against any person, noting that the relevant authorities and agencies will undertake the development of mechanisms that enable them to implement the policy.

Bouhamid stressed that the issuance of policy and the existence of laws that protect family members do not mean that it will allow the exploitation of these laws by certain members against family members, and that the application of protection laws will not conflict in any day with the principles that support family bonding and cohesion, and ensure respect for the rights of the young before the elder in The family, noting the ministry’s intention to hold training and awareness sessions for the people involved in implementing the policy.

Referring to some of the procedures and systems that will be used in applying the policy, she said that it includes the inclusion of university majors in the field of humanities, social and psychological sciences and specialized topics in the field of family protection, conducting surveys on family protection, as well as building and applying standards for primary prevention and issuing a law and strategy to protect the family and others .

She added that the policy includes within its axes mechanisms for protection and intervention, development of legislation and laws, an agenda for prevention and community awareness, and mechanisms for specific training for workers to raise job competencies, along with studies, research and statistics supporting family protection, stability and cohesion of its members.

She pointed to the adoption of a system for reporting and receiving complaints, through the development of a unified mechanism for reporting and receiving complaints, assessing damage, and rapid response to cases at the country level, in addition to criteria for primary prevention and achieving protection, where a guide and standards and best practices are established to work within the primary prevention, in a manner that ensures complementarity And the accuracy of the roles between the relevant authorities.

She pointed out that the administrative structure will be developed by introducing and amending the administrative structures in the concerned authorities such as courts, procuratorates, and hospitals to be able to face problems resulting from abuse, so that it includes sections and protection units that include social and psychological protection specialists, and a family protection center will be established to receive and accommodate cases And provide the necessary services and develop a treatment plan for each case.
