According to the latest figures from 2017 from Statistics Sweden, 147,000 children live in a vulnerable financial situation. This means that they do not have enough money to cover basic needs, such as food, housing, electricity, insurance and more. During Christmas, it becomes clear to many parents that the economy is not collapsing.

- Children often understand much more than their parents want to admit. Living so scarcely can happen to many, but to do it for a long time or during a full upbringing ... Then we know that it means problems in the present, to be able to participate fully like all other children, says Tapio Salonen, who researches economically exposure to children.
