Milliyet: Washington is the biggest loser in losing the Incirlik and Korjic bases

A report published in the Turkish newspaper "Milliyet" touched upon the comments of a former Turkish security official regarding the threats related to the American presence in both Incirlik and Korekik bases in case the United States imposes sanctions on Turkey.

Tunka Bangin, in his newspaper report, attributes to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoوlu that if the United States imposes sanctions on Turkey, Ankara will review the issue of the US presence in these two bases.

Speaking about Incirlik base, the security expert stressed that it is one of the three main bases in the world, given that its location facilitates the provision of logistical supplies in the Caucasus, the Caspian Sea, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Gulf and the Middle East, as well as it contains American war fighters, about 50 nuclear bombs, and their connection Pradar Korgic Base.

The report adds that the security expert indicates that the escalation tone adopted by the United States with Turkey aims to use all the cards in its possession to prevent a rapprochement between Ankara and Moscow, and that the security expert confirms that the real problem of the United States is not with the S-400 air defense system, but rather Turkey, which is a member of NATO, is approaching Russia, and this would make it a "bad example" for the rest of the other member states.
