Alan Herring had just pushed The Beatles stars Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon to the office of Starr's Mercedes when he noticed that a pair of green-tinted glasses were left in the back seat of the car.
He also noticed they were broken and asked John Lennon if he would fix them for him. Lennon replied that he didn't have to worry - the glasses were just for the sake of style.
Now Alan Herring has sold the glasses at auction for SEK 1.7 million.
