Closed stations along the Fryksdalsbanan open again

Since 2016, several stops along the Fryksdalsbanan have been closed, but now the train stops are being re-tested for two years. For Margareta Nilsson, it means half an hour shorter travel time each day.

Margareta Nilsson lives in Oleby and works as a biomedical analyst at CSK. She commutes to Karlstad almost every day by train and she has done this since 2000.

- If everything works as it should, I win half an hour each day in travel time and do not have to start a cold car in the winter and go to Torsby, she says.

The Oleby station is just four minutes walk from Margaret's home.

- I am very pleased that all trains stop here. It is superb. I really hope the trains will continue to stop here and I never thought it would go through. An elogue to Sture Arnesson who struggled to get this, she says.

How many will commute from Oleby, do you think?

- When it stopped to stop in 2016, we were three commuting between Oleby and Karlstad. How it is now I do not know. No idea about it, says Margareta Eriksson, who now does not have to go past her own house by train.
