"The introduction of duties planned for December 15 in the amount of 5% and 10% for some imported goods from the United States is temporarily delayed ... Initially, the planned increase in import duties on cars and auto parts from the United States is again temporarily delayed," the agency said in a statement that cites TASS.

In addition, China expressed readiness to continue work on exemption from duties of new categories of American goods.

Earlier, US leader Donald Trump announced the start of negotiations on the second phase of a trade deal with China, noting that Washington is refusing to introduce additional trade duties for Beijing scheduled for December 15.
