According to him, on December 19, a hearing will be held in the Westminster Court of Britain “in the framework of a simple procedure to present evidence”, at which Assange will not be present.

“Subsequently, on February 25, 2020, an extradition hearing will be held to decide whether or not to extradite Mr. Assange to the United States,” he said.

The lawyer added that the defense hopes that the US request for the extradition of Assange will be rejected.

He also said that on December 20 Assange will give testimony to a Spanish court in victim status in a case of alleged espionage for U.S. intelligence, which was run by a security company in the building of the Embassy of Ecuador in London.

Earlier, a court in London adjourned a hearing on the extradition of Assange.
