Sörmland's upper secondary schools slightly below the national average

Across the country, 76.6 percent of students graduated this year, compared with 76.1 percent in 2018.

In Sörmland, 74 percent of high school students graduated. The largest proportion of students in the county who graduated can be found in Katrineholm, 77 percent. Nyköping, Eskilstuna and Strängnäs are on the county average, 74 percent.

Seen across the country, it is the students in the university preparatory programs that are mainly responsible for the increase. This year, 78.7 percent of students in those high school graduation programs took three years, compared with 77.9 percent in 2018.

In 2019, the economy program is the program with the largest proportion of students who have graduated - 82.6 percent. On the vocational programs, however, the proportion of students taking the degree decreases - from 72 percent in 2018 to 71.6 percent this year.

Flens municipality was not represented in the National Agency for Education's current statistics.
