Härjedalen before the court for unauthorized procurement

The Swedish Competition Authority is now going to court and wants the municipality of Härjedalen to pay a fine for the municipality buying services in an illegal way.

According to the Swedish Competition Authority, the municipality violated the rules when purchasing staffing services for the social services in addition to the framework agreement the municipality had.

According to the Swedish Competition Authority, the value of Härjedalen's direct procurement in 2018 was almost SEK 3.5 million, which far exceeds the amount that a procurement is usually to be announced.

Now the Administrative Court in Härnösand will decide whether or not the municipality will pay SEK 260,000 in procurement damages.
