The actor, singer and humorist Bernard Lavalette, known for many supporting roles in the cinema, from "Viager" to "Gendarme marie", died Saturday in Paris at the age of 93, announced to AFP his daughter Anne de Fleury.

Bernard Lavalette will also have played a lot in boulevard plays. He was a long-time resident of the Théâtre des Dix-Heures, the Caveau de la République, the Trois-Baudets and the Théâtre des Deux-Ânes.

At the same time, he sang on the Left Bank, at the Lock, at Jacob's Ladder, at the Port du Salut and at Galerie 55. He had also performed at Bobino and the Olympia.

In the cinema, the actor with thick eyebrows will often play the roles of official or notable figures: admiral, colonel, deputy, minister or prefect.

Among his main films are "Messieurs les ronds de cuir", "La Belle Américaine", "Un Drôle de paroissien", "Thomas the impostor", "La Grande Mafia", Le driving license "," Impossible pas français "...

He also filmed in TV movies including "Les 7 de l'escalier 15" or "L'enterrement de Monsieur Bouvet".

Bernard Lavalette was born Bernard de Fleury, his stage name Lavalette coming from the family cradle, the Villebois-Lavalette castle in Charente, the village where his funeral will be organized. His wife Jeanon died last September.

In 1997, he organized a series of conferences "My life, my songs" and a recital "An hour of humor with Bernard Lavalette".

He told himself in a cheerful and unpretentious tone in his book of memories "And apart from that, what do you do?". He had even dubbed in cartoons, especially in 1968 for "Asterix and Cleopatra".
