Italian Sofia Goggia won St Moritz's super-G, her 7th World Cup victory, for one hundredth of a Saturday, ahead of compatriot Federica Brignone and American Mikaela Shiffrin.

The 2018 downhill Olympic champion at Pyoengchang, bib number 16, dislodged first place for a hundredth Brignone, who herself had snatched the head from the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami, ultimately 5th.

Goggia was also ahead of 13/100 Shiffrin, part three bibs earlier. The German Viktoria Rebensburg, victorious Sunday from the super-G of Lake Louise, was satisfied with 9th place.

Shiffrin, who is consolidating his dominance in the general classification of the World Cup, is still looking for a speed victory this season, after his 2nd place in the descent of Lake Louise (Canada).

The Vail skier will have the opportunity on Sunday in the parallel slalom to clinch the 63rd victory of her career, which would allow her to overtake the Austrian Annemarie Moser-Pröll.
