The World Health Organization revealed in a report that about 850 million people around the world have symptoms of some kind of kidney disease, and that almost 10% of the world's population already have kidney failure.

The organization stressed the importance of investigating the health status of each person for the purpose of early detection of this chronic and tired disease, and following some health advice in the daily life of individuals to avoid the incidence of kidney failure.

Among these tips:

1- Measuring blood pressure periodically, and treating high blood pressure.

2 - Not to increase the number of meals rich in salt, which contain a high percentage of sodium, which may increase blood pressure and lead in turn to damage the kidneys, and replace that with herbs and spices.

3- Stay away from processed foods (sodium and phosphorous), as those suffering from kidney disease need to limit phosphorous in their diets, but some studies have shown that eating large amounts of phosphorous through processed foods may harm the kidneys and bones even in those who do not suffer from Kidney disease.

4- The necessity of drinking sufficient quantities of water to maintain the good moisture of the kidneys and remove sodium and toxins from the body. Also, drinking lots of water is one of the best ways to avoid painful kidney stones. Most people need to drink about two liters of water per day.

5- Sleeping enough hours, as kidney functions are regulated during the sleep-wake cycle that helps coordinate kidney work over the course of 24 hours.

6- Not eating too much meat because it contains large amounts of protein, which raises acidity in the blood, and causes serious damage to the kidneys, so you cannot get rid of acids quickly enough.

7- Avoid frequent sugars and sweets, and sweetened drinks.

8- Not to take large quantities of analgesics and anti-pain and anti-inflammatory drugs, as their multiplication leads over time to kidney failure, so regular use of pain should be reduced, and the recommended dose should never be exceeded.
