For several years, West Swedish companies have been thrown between hope and despair as to what will happen with Britain's exit from the EU.

After yesterday's election where Boris Johnson and his Tories party stand as victors, it is also clear that it will be a Brexit with an agreement.

- It has been a constant cloud of concern. Although most people have tried to prepare, it has been difficult since it is not known in what form it would be. A tough Brexit would have been devastating for the West Swedish companies, says Johan Trouvé.

Now most of the reasons are for the UK to leave the EU at the beginning of next year, in orderly form and with different types of trade agreements with the EU countries.

"Too bad for the British"

It will not be completely painless anyway. There will be changed customs rules.

- Here it is important to get involved in what is valid and to prepare. But I would say that we are pretty good at when we are used to trading with Norway who are not in the EU either, it will be about the same rules that will apply.

But despite the relief, Trouvé is not quite happy anyway.

- I feel sorry for the British who are leaving the EU, that they have ended up in this situation. But now it will not be as bad as it could have been, he concludes.
