Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called for a change in the provisions of the Minsk Agreements that relate to border control. He noted that four years have passed since the signing of the Minsk Agreements - "everything changes in our life."

According to Peskov, in order to make any changes, "the mutual will of the parties to the conflict is needed, and the parties to the conflict are Kiev on the one hand and the self-proclaimed republics on the other."

“Accordingly, it is possible to talk about any innovations without knowing the point of view and position of representatives of the self-proclaimed republics, but this is unpromising,” Peskov said, answering the question under what conditions the Kremlin would agree to hold additional talks on updating the Minsk agreements.

Peskov recalled that the final document after the summit in Paris in the preamble in the second paragraph states that the Minsk Agreements continue to be the basis of the work of the Norman format, the member states of which are committed to their full implementation.
