Plow car backed into a stationary bus in Luleå

It was twenty seven in the morning and Eva Marie Svensson was on her way to her job when the accident occurred. The bus she was sitting in would turn from Svartöleden to Lövskatan but on the way a plow car worked with snow clearing and there was a traffic stop.

- The bus became completely stationary for a quite long time, waiting to arrive and suddenly the driver began to pout wildly and then it narrowed so sharply that the front window burst. The plow truck backed straight into the bus, says Eva Marie Svensson.

Fortunately it was a low speed but enough for the box to be crushed.

- It must have been terrible for the driver at the moment as it was small, but he was calm, says Eva Marie Svensson.

While waiting for a replacement bus, Eva Marie Svensson went out and talked to the one who was driving the plow truck.

- I was pretty angry right then but afterwards I got a little scared. It was lucky that there was not a passenger car involved in the crash because then it could have gone bad.

- It is a very unusual accident and it is sad that it happened. Fortunately, the driver feels good and no passengers were injured either, says Anna Kowal Lindbäck, Marketing and Communications Manager at the bus company.

Despite the crash, Eva-Marie Svensson almost got to the job on time.

- I arrived only seven minutes late.
