The European Union authorizes exports of fake milk powder re-fattened with palm oil. These products are marketed in Burkina Faso, Senegal, Nigeria and other West African countries, where they are sold 30% cheaper than local milk.

In addition to misleading the consumer with packaging almost similar to a 100% cow's milk product, these exports compete with local dairy farmers and kill them slowly. Some decided to act by creating a label to value local milk on the market.
